I have this diagram inside my brain
that helps me navigate the world outside,
to find those trails that others try to hide,
to search out secret tracks without a strain
then orient myself in strange terrain,
and stroll dark passageways without a guide.
This chart has always left me satisfied
that I am never wandering in vain.

But lately Iíve begun to doubt this map.
Perhaps itís time to rearrange the lines,
erase those boundaries which overlap,
reshaping any border which confines,
escaping all the mazes which entrap,
thus freeing up my mind for new designs.
